International tumor hyperthermia forum held in our hospital

On April 17, the 2021 international tumor hyperthermia forum and the opening of our hospital hyperthermia center was held in affiliated Zhongshan hospital of Dalian university.
More than 100 experts of tumor hyperthermia from the United States, Japan, Beijing, Zhejiang, Fujian, Zhengzhou, Wuhan and other more than 20 provinces and cities in China and members of the hyperthermia group of the society of radiation oncology of the Chinese Medical Association, discussed the hot topics such as clinical application, development trend, scientific research direction and new equipment research and development of hyperthermia in the field of cancer in recent years were discussed in the form of online and offline. This conference has built a high-quality and high-level academic platform for experts and scholars. It is hoped that this conference will promote the development of domestic hyperthermia, so as to provide a good treatment means for tumor patients with non-toxic and side effects.
“Tumor hyperthermia is a hot spot in recent years. As a non-toxic and green treatment method, it will play an important role in tumor treatment in the future. For patients with extensive metastasis of this kind of tumor, when there is no way of operation, radiotherapy and chemotherapy, the whole-body hyperthermia machine can be used as a very effective treatment means to alleviate the symptoms of patients, Improve the quality of life and prolong the survival time of patients.

At the opening ceremony, the launching ceremony of the hyperthermia center of our hospital was also held. Professor Yu Jian, the person in charge of the hyperthermia center, introduced that tumor hyperthermia treatment has been carried out in Zhongshan Hospital Affiliated to Dalian University for more than ten years. With the progress of concept and the introduction of new high-end equipment, the hospital hyperthermia center was officially established.
“What is tumor hyperthermia?” Generally, heat above 50 ℃ can cause cell damage, but tumor cells can cause damage when they reach 42.5 ℃.According to Yu Jian, killing tumor cells by "heating" is a non-toxic and side effect treatment. For patients with early adjuvant chemotherapy, first hyperthermia and then chemotherapy. First, it is conducive to the rapid arrival of chemotherapeutic drugs at the tumor site. Professor Wang Ruoyu said that the tumor center of Affiliated Zhongshan Hospital of Dalian University has always adhered to the concept of small injury, individualization and low side effects, and has always been at the forefront of China. In the future, it will give full play to the advantages of comprehensive treatment and create a multi-dimensional comprehensive tumor treatment model integrating radiotherapy, chemotherapy, minimally invasive intervention and hyperthermia. As a green treatment of tumor treatment, hyperthermia is painless, noninvasive and accurate. It is indispensable in tumor treatment. It is believed that in the near future, together with other domestic medical institutions, hyperthermia will lead hyperthermia to the international stage in clinical and scientific research.
